Trainee Solicitor Recruitment

BHP have been offering trainee solicitor jobs for a number of years, having up to three trainee solicitors employed within the firm at any one time. We normally recruit two trainee solicitors one year and one trainee the next.

Our policy is to ensure that, as a trainee solicitor with BHP, you are fully integrated into a mixed legal environment, gaining a good understanding in a number of areas of law, in line with Solicitors’ Regulation Authority requirements. Supporting other solicitors and staff, you will gain the benefit of their experience working in a fully supervised environment, whilst expanding your own experience and knowledge and honing your skills.

As a multi-disciplinary practice, we can provide a varied and interesting solicitor training contract, over broad legal and geographical areas.  Trainee solicitors are given the opportunity to take part in marketing activities and business development, as well as dealing with the day to day aspects of legal work.

As a well-respected regional law firm, BHP aim to recruit high calibre trainee solicitors with good academic qualifications and a good general business understanding.

Most of our trainee solicitors remain with us after qualification and we work with them to try to ensure that we match our business needs with their career aspirations.
