Zetland Hunt Point to Point

2nd Jun 2009

A regular event on the equestrian sporting calendar was once again supported by North East law firm BHP Law.

The firm, which has offices in Darlington, Durham, Newcastle, Teesside and Halifax, has been a sponsor of the Zetland Hunt Point to Point, held at Witton Castle, for the last 13 years.

This year more than 200 guests and 70 children joined staff for the family day, with refreshments provided in an exclusive marquee.

BHP Law sponsored the Restricted Race with senior partner Peter Blackett presenting the winner’s trophy to Pat Tate, wife of Robin Tate of Boltby, North Yorkshire, who owns and trains Chummy's Double, which was ridden by John Dawson of Ferryhill.

Managing partner of BHP Law, John Pratt, said: “We are always keen to support the Zetland Hunt Point to Point. It’s a great day’s racing in a fantastic setting and is an opportunity to spend time with clients in a relaxed family atmosphere.
“It’s a pity that the weather wasn’t better this year but hopefully people made up for it with a successful day on the horses.”
