BHP support Grace House Hospice with tickets at the Civic

16th Sep 2008

BHP Law in partnership with Darlington Civic Theatre help Grace House Hospice top raise much needed funds.

Fans of singing heartthrob David Essex are being offered a chance to meet the star – and support a North East children’s hospice at the same time.

Regional law firm BHP Law has donated four tickets for the All the Fun of the Fair show being staged at Darlington Civic Theatre, and starring David Essex, on September 22.

BHP Law is principal sponsor of the theatre this year and has donated the tickets to Grace House North East Children’s Hospice, which it also supports.

The hospice plans to raffle the tickets at its annual Race for Grace fun run next month.

The lucky winners will not only enjoy a night out at the theatre to see the show, but will also get to meet its star.

Bryan Hoare, director of marketing at BHP Law, explained: “We are delighted that our sponsorship of the Civic Theatre means we can help other organisations like the hospice, which is another worthy cause that we continue to support.

“We hope the fact that David Essex has agreed to meet the winners on the night and make this an extra special prize will encourage lots more people to buy raffle tickets in aid of the hospice.”

Organisers of the Grace House Appeal are aiming to build, equip and run a children’s hospice for the region based in Sunderland, which will help hundreds of youngsters diagnosed with a terminal illness and their families.

Regional fundraiser Heather McLean said: “We are delighted with the generous support from both BHP Law and David Essex. The show falls within National Children’s Hospice Week so we hope this will help to emphasise the vital need in our region.”
