BHP Law open a new Teesside office at Preston Farm, Stockton on Tees

BHP Law (Blackett Hart & Pratt LLP) has expanded its operation on Teesside by moving to a prestigious new office in Stockton.

The regional law firm already had a base in Thornaby after merging with well respected local practice James & Baker Solicitors last July.

Now all the staff based on Teesside including partners Andrew James, Richard Baker and Helen Wood have relocated to Kingfisher House at Preston Farm.

In addition they have also been joined by a number of senior lawyers and members of the management team of BHP Law who are transferring from the firm’s other offices.

Among some of those moving to Stockton are company lawyer and partner David Lucas, team leader of Commercial Property and partner Simon Robinson and commercial property lawyer Nagina Hussain, who is from Stockton and graduated from Teesside University.

John Pratt, managing partner of BHP Law, said: “Our relocation and expansion to Stockton is a significant step for the firm. It strengthens our existing presence on Teesside and will allow us to offer our full range of services whilst providing additional capacity for growth.

“We can better service the private and business clients we already have on Teesside from our new premises, including those who have been loyal to James & Baker over the years, as well as offering easily accessible, first class facilities for new clients. The Stockton office complements our other bases in Darlington, Durham and Newcastle and means that we can offer our multi-disciplinary range of services across the region.”

The three-storey 7,500sq ft office was built by Tolent Construction for Banks Developments and has capacity for an 80-strong team.
