Des O'Meara

Des O’Meara is a consultant within the team and has extensive experience working with people who have acquired traumatic brain injury and their families. He was head of Northumberland Head Injury Service (NHIS), a community based service funded through both the NHS and Social Services, which provides services across the health and social care boundaries to people with acquired traumatic brain injury.

After leaving the NHIS Des helped establish Neural Pathways, a leading independent provider of services to brain injured people. He is currently also engaged by a local NHS (primary care) organisation to advise on brain injury issues and to ensure patients’ needs are being met.
