Margot Moffitt

Margot Moffitt qualified as a solicitor in 1978 after training with Kirklees Metropolitan District Council in West Yorkshire. She returned to the North East in 1980 to join Harvey & Marron Solicitors. She was a Partner in the firm for 25 years prior to the merger with Blackett Hart & Pratt in April 2006.

She has considerable experience of Family Law. She is an accredited specialist with Resolution (formerly the Solicitors? Family Law Association). She has also been a member of the Law Society?s Children Panel since 1988 and has considerable experience of all aspects of Public Children Law including national and international adoptions.

Margot qualified as a family mediator in 2000 and is accredited with the UK College of Family Mediators. She now mediates with Bridges Mediation Service which comes under the umbrella of BHP. She also is involved nationally in the training of family mediators.
