7th Dec 2009
Families facing divorce, separation or child custody issues can draw on the expertise of a new solicitor at BHP Clarksons, the biggest law firm in Halifax.
John Robertson is a specialist in family law and has joined the team at Harrison Road.
In addition to family work, John works in wills, trusts and probate and can advise individuals and families in planning for the future and dealing with family finances following bereavement.
Originally from Norfolk, he is a graduate of Lancaster University and completed his law training contract with firms in Halifax.
“I am settled in West Yorkshire so was keen to stay in the area. I’m delighted to be joining BHP Clarksons, which is a step up for me in terms of size of firm. We have offices across the North East and Teesside and expertise in many aspects of law,” said John.
“I enjoy family law because it allows me to interact with clients on a daily basis. I like working with people and being able to help them resolve issues, whether that is leaving their estate to relatives or dealing with matrimonial finances,” he added.
John, who plays on the wing for Halifax RUFC, is working with Bob Jones, a senior family lawyer, and Ann Noble, a Partner in BHP Clarksons and head of the wills, trusts and probate team in Halifax.
John can be contacted on (01422) 250650.
