Richard Deas

Richard Deas is a solicitor who qualified in 1974 and has many years experience and expertise.

Richard has a broad field of experience and specialises in Family Law with a particular emphasis on divorce and financial remedies.

Richard was a Partner with the firm of J W Mitchell Dodds & Co. for over 30 years prior to that firm merging with Blackett Hart & Pratt LLP in November 2007.

Richard in the past has worked for very wealthy clients navigating them through their divorce and complex financial problems, in order to finalise all matters. He has also advised clients on pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements.

Richard’s approach is client focused and he aims to provide a pragmatic and sensitive approach to resolving client’s problems, based upon solid legal knowledge and experience.

He has pioneered BHP Law’s Fixed Fees initiative, which offers clients with limited financial resources access to a first class legal service.

Richard works out of both the North Shields and the Newcastle offices of BHP Law.
