Claire Hodgson is a very experienced, approachable solicitor, joining BHP's industrial disease team in October 2010.
A specialist personal injury solicitor with over 15 years trial experience Claire has been listed in the legal 500 and is regularly consulted by Solicitors throughout the UK on a consultancy basis. Claire qualified as a solicitor in 1991 after training at Watson Burton in Newcastle. She was a member of the Claimant's Steering Committee for the British Coal VWF Litigation (reported in 1996 & 1998) until she left Watson Burton in 2004 for Askews, where she had conduct of Kew v Bettamix on behalf of the claimant.
Claire has been a member of the Law Society's Personal Injury Panel for many years,and has recently attained Senior Litigator status with the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL).
Claire has been a co-organiser of the HAVS Symposium since 1999, and has contributed to Sweet & Maxwell's Occupational Illness Litigation (Ed, Andrew Macdonald).
In addition to her work on HAVS cases, Claire has of course also dealt with Noise Induced Hearing Loss (where there is vibration, there is noise!), Asbestos, Dermatitis, Work Related Upper Limb Disorders, and workplace and other accidents.
Claire is an experienced horse owner, and is more than happy to advise in relation to horse related incidents
