Jane Fiddes the third member of the Team at Newcastle has now achieved Accreditation status together with Andrea Hewitson being Accredited in a Third Module of Domestic Violence. The BHP Law Team at Newcastle is now comprised of three Solicitors who are all Accredited Specialists.

The Family Team at BHP deal with all types of family matters and they have been indicating at this time of recession some couples, after the breakdown of their relationship are forced to remain living under the same roof for economic reasons. This can lead to tension which then in some cases turns to abusers as parties become frustrated at their plight.

Many couples just cannot afford to sell or move out in the current climate and end up having to stay under the same roof” said Jane Fiddes.

Andrea Hewitson added “sometimes this pressure can lead to domestic abuse which can have a huge impact on the couple and upon childrenIt is a very difficult time and it is important that people seek help as soon as possible”.

Both added that they are particularly mindful of children and the impact a relationship breakdown can have upon them.

It is important that couples having problems take the right advice as soon as possible. Anyone needing advice can be assured that BHP Law have highly qualified Solicitors dealing with this matter.

Andrea Hewitson is also a Collaboratively Trained Lawyer who can deal with family breakdowns or disagreements in a different way which empowers people themselves to make decisions with the assistance of their Solicitors in meetings.
