Clare Dixon

Clare Dixon studied Law at Northumbria University and continued her studies at the College of Law in York. Clare joined BHP Law in September 2008 to complete her training. Clare undertook seats in Dispute Resolution, Corporate Restructuring and Insolvency and Personal Injury.

Clare qualified in September 2011 and now works between the Personal Injury and Dispute Resolution Teams.

Based in the Teesside office, but meeting clients across the region, Clare advises a variety of clients on all aspects of commercial litigation, specialising in contract law, landlord and tenant issues and debt recovery, delivering a professional and high standard of service to her clients. She has a wide variety of experience, enabling her to adapt to the needs of her clients, whether they be commercial businesses in need of representation at Court or private individuals seeking advice and direction.
Clare has recently been involved in matters concerning construction and insurance disputes, professional negligence and landlord and tenant disputes, and has assisted her clients in reaching satisfactory conclusions.

Clare is also a part of the Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence team and advises in all areas. Examples of the areas of work which Clare advises in are accidents at work, road traffic accidents, occupiers’ liability, tripping accidents and accidents which occur whilst abroad. Clare has a particular interest in Clinical Negligence cases and advises clients on a wide variety of claims arising as a result of negligent medical treatment.
Clare spends her spare time engaging in outdoor activities, including running and cycling, and also plays hockey for her local hockey club.
