Robin Wood

Robin Wood joined BHP Develop in early 2010. He is a Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute with 13 years experience in both public and private sector.

He initially started his career in the private sector before moving into the public sector, working for two local authorities in Development Control over a period of 5 years. In 2002 he set up his own practice and has worked as a sole practitioner for the last 8 years. In this role he has provided consultancy work for a range of public and private sector clients including Northumberland County Council, and the Northumberland and Lake District National Park Authorities. He is also a planning advisor to the Rural Planning Facilitation Service operated by Cumbria Rural Enterprise Agency.

He has extensive experience in the minerals, waste and energy sectors including experience of aggregate production, opencast coal mining and wind farm developments. He also has extensive experience of wider development planning including housing, agricultural, commercial and rural leisure development.
